Becoming Hamlet:

Week One:

Today we started reading through our scripts and started to analyse and break down little bits of the text, I looked to see if there was words that we didn't understand then I read through the dictionary to find the meaning which helped me understand the text a bit more. I then went through the script and highlighted the words that stood out, where I needed to pause and have a thought process, and where I could but emphasis on words. As I started going through my monologue i realised the purpose and reason why Shakespeare used this particular language in Hamlet and most of his plays,  After highlighting and taking notes on how to deliver the speech, it helped me realise what sort of tone was needed in different sections of the speech, whether I needed to raise the volume of my voice, what emotions to bring out and what sort of pace I needed to deliver the speech in.
